Sitting at the window, watching the day emerge,
The morning mist disappearing under the morning sun,
A solitary bird crosses the early sky,
The shadows begin their daily move,
Displaying, the lingering frost to the sun.
Time and the sun move forward to the west,
Sending the coolness away with the breeze,
The view for the eye, is stark and brown,
As the day moves on and blue skies form,
Evaporated the listless dew, by the advancing sun.
The horizon looms, with shreds of clouds,
Reaching for the setting sun,
Reflecting gold, yellow, ruby, gray and black,
Gathering the sun in the bosom of night,
The eyes watching the day go by!
