Chances are Slim!!

Chances ae slim the face will appear.
Hovering in space, close to me.
In case the possibility were to prevail,
A beat would skip within my heart.
Motion and time still do not wait,
Again and again, my breath doth wait.
Neither here nor there will be a thought,
Otherwise the day is for naught.
My days will journey forth,
Into oblivion, the time will pass.
My thoughts again will wane for naught,
Into again, oblivion, my heart is lost!

Echos off the Message Wall!!

Twilight was casting shadows on the wall,

The light of day was fading.

My mind was wandering across the time,

As the screen in front of me came to life!

Gradually the mails were moving before me,

Krabbelt of distant times, not expected.

As the voice echoed from the past,

"Hope all is well with you Gene!!"

My hand moved to rub my eye,

As these words from a voice past did come.

This photo attached was dim and dark,

And too, I could not respond.

Again the voice words fade into the past,

The sender did not allow response!!

What is this thing that still seems to last

Through time and miles back to the past.

The Darkest Months!!

Alas, Alas, the summer has past,
And too, the months of ..er have been.
And now the coldest months follow,
The time when the Sun is low.
Cold, Cold and the Wind does blow.

But then the days again get longer.
The Sun slowly rises in the sky.
Soon the closck will agaom s[romg fprward/
Extended Sun for us will show.
Warmer, Warmer and the Wind still blows.
The months, much like friendship is.
A revolving passage as through a phase.
Once warm, the turns to cold.
But time like the seasons has its place.
To bring back the warmth, the Wind still blows.

Words Turn Cold!

At times when the wind of winter, turns the words cold,
And thoughts have too, left the mind,
The sun does little to bring warmth in,
As voices tend to hush their utterance,
Only the season remains the same, cold and dreary!

Then as the wind moves from the north, the sun rises higher,
The warmth of summer enters,
Thoughts again begin to move,
From under the heavy shroud!

The earth exposed from winter’s cover,
The seeds of season there endowed,
But errant plantings from the sky,
Keep work on knees to remove!

The joys continue thru each week,
The harvest soon to reap!
But nothing blesses the ear with sound,
From friends long gone not now to seek!

Once heard the written voice of distant friend,
Not heard for long past days,
But then the silence once returns,
To keep the vision back to go!

The Faces Within the Mirror

Once I looked into a mirror, the mirror before me now,
Seeing there many things , that now are distant sights,
The thoughts that roam the mind, I wonder what!
Has happened to the image there.

The mirror, that was before me,
Brought me places anew, and thoughts,
Of life of those I saw and knew,
But now the places are just a mirage.

The mirror, sent me far to find,
The places and the faces new.
Were privy to my eye,
But never the face but once appeared!

Forty Days and Forty Nights

Forty days and forty nights the ground was white with snow,
The sun did show no heat to melt the cover from the ground,
The streets were white with melted salt the cold did hold it on,
The days were long and cold.

Forty days and forty nights the ground was frozen hard,
The wind was cruel, the sun was hid nothing was unfroze,
The birds of the wild stayed hidden from the wind that blew,
The days were long and cold.

Forty days and forty nights there was no warmth in sight,
The people walking huddled from the wind,
The future near bears no relief from this blight,
The days were long and cold.

Storm of Night

From the West it came, huffing and puffing,
The wind noisily driving the snow.
The air was cold, the ground was wet,
But still the white did lay.

For a day and a night, the flakes layered the ground.
The roads, soon were covered and white.
The plows ran slowly down the tracks,
Left by brave wanderers in the night.

But then from the East came the sun,
To hush the wind and settle the snow.
The travelers once again did ply
The roads again to their destined end.
